Brother to Gr 1 hope Barbaric arrives
21 Oct 2014A valuable foal was delivered by Goodwood Stud mare Burnzees Magic this
morning.
She produced a Pins colt at Waikato Stud and will this season be served by
the Cox Plate winner Ocean park.
The new arrival is a brother to the multiple winner and Group One prospect
Barbaric.
Successful in the Listed Levin Stakes last preparation, he is due to resume
next month for Cambridge trainer Stephen Marsh.
Barbaric is raced by Goodwood and his main target this campaign will be Gr.1
Railway Stakes at Ellerslie on New Year's Day.
Marsh said the six-year-old was in terrific order and sounder than he had
ever been.
The Listed Legacy Lodge Sprint at Te Rapa on November 8 is a likely starting
point for Barbaric.
Goodwood will also be offering a sister to the powerhouse sprinter-miler at
Karaka next year.
