Group Honours For Howbaddouwantit’s Son
12 Dec 2012

Demophon joined Howbaddouwantit’s list of Group performers with a brave performance at Ellerslie this afternoon.

The five-year-old was co-topweight with 59kg and beat all but the sprinting star Mosse in the Gr 3 Concorde Handicap.

Demophon had to give the unbeaten winner five and a-half kilos and failed by only a long neck to claim the race.

By Goodwood Stud resident Howbaddouwantit, the gelding is out of the Jetball mare Phaedra who won six races.

A $30,000 yearling purchase for trainer John Sargent, Demophon is a three-qaurter brother to Needuask.

He also won a Concorde Handicap and ran second in the Gr 1 Railway Handicap before continuing his career in Singapore.
