World Record stars at Sha Tin
27 Nov 2018Hardy galloper World Record has been a grand performer in Hong Kong for breeders Goodwood Stud.
The son of Savabeel has won six races, the latest at Sha Tin last evening over 1400 metres.
That has been his pet distance with five of his six successes posted over the trip.
Trained by Tony Millard, World Record was ridden by Grant Van Niekirk who has ridden him in all four starts this preparation.
The now six-year-old was sold by Goodwood at Karaka in 2014 for $200,000.
He is out of Run Brony Run, a daughter of Redoute’s Choice with a perfect record at stud.
All three of her foals are winners and includes the Group Three performer Dream Run.
It is a family that features the Group One winner and producer Flying Spur in its ranks.
