Group One credit for farm graduate
10 Feb 2018Goodwood Stud graduate earned lavish praise after her gallant run for third in today’s Gr.1 Herbie Dyke Stakes at Te Rapa.

The daughter of Savabeel made the pace and she fought on tenaciously for third behind her stablemate Lizzie L’Amour.

“It was a terrific run from a stud point of view,” co-trainer Murray Baker said. “She’s a Group Three winner and Group One placed, she’s probably done enough.”

Nicoletta has won three of her 16 starts, including last season’s Desert Gold Stakes.

She also finished runner-up in the Gr.2 Sir Tristram Fillies’ Classic and fourth in the New Zealand Oaks.

Nicoletta was bought out of Goodwood’s 2015 draft to Karaka for $90,000 by agent Bruce Perry on behalf of Lib Petagna’s JML Bloodstock.
