Pinyin adds to Singapore record
06 May 2017The well-related Pinyin advanced his record in SIngapore last night with a class five success at Kranji.
The durable seven-year-old won over 1700 metres for trainer David Hill.
Pinyin was originally purchased out of Goodwood Stud’s 2011 Premier Sale draft to Karaka by Te Akau principal David Ellis for $60,000.
A son of Pins, he is out of the More Than Ready mare Gifted Lass who has done a fine job at stud for the Palmerston North operation.
She is also the dam of the Gr 2 Sarten Memorial winner and Group One placegetter Serena Miss and the stakes-performed Gifted Lad.
Pinyin trialled in New Zealand and placed several times in Singapore for trainer Mark Walker before transferring to Hill’s operation.
