Top filly on the market
17 May 2016Goodwood Stud graduate Serena Miss is a supplementary entry in next month's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast.

The dual Group Two winner and Group One-placed Iffraaj filly promises to be one of the most coveted lots of the sale.

Co-trainer and part-owner Graeme Rogerson said while Serena Miss was a supplementary entry, she would be sold on the first day of the sale on June 1.

"I've spoken to Gerry Harvey about it and he's very happy to have her in the sale and he expects her to sell very well.

"A couple of owners wanted to breed from her, but she's worth that much money that it makes sense to put her through the sale and that way everyone's happy.

“She'll be put through to dissolve a partnership."

The winner of three races, including the Gr.2 Sarten Memorial and the Gr.2 Matamata Breeders’ Stakes, the three-year-old also placed in the Gr 1 NZ 2000 Guineas,

“She's a high-class racehorse and we think she'll go well as a broodmare," Rogerson said.

He purchased Serena Miss, a daughter of the More Than Ready mare Gifted Lass, for $65,000 out of Goodwood’s 2014 Karaka draft.
