Jimmy Choux colt takes centre stage
10 May 2016A son of Jimmy Choux proved to be Goodwood Stud’s leading light at NZ Bloodstock’s National Weanling Sale.
The chestnut was sold during the second session on Tuesday to Matamata interests for $35,000.
The colt is out of the Ustinov mare Miss Faberge, who won four races and is a half-sister to the multiple black type winner Innovation.
It also represents the Group One family of Imposera, Teranaba, Imprimateur and Wahid.
Goodwood’s Iffraaj youngster also sold well and made $28,000 to the bid of Palmerston North’s Parklea Thoroughbreds.
Out of the Savabeel mare No Tolerance, the colt is a grandson of the stakes winner Kinetic.
It is also the family of the Australian Group One winner Trappings.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong interests took a shine to Goodwood’s Super Easy colt and secured him for $25,000 on day one.
He is out of the Howbaddouwantit mare Toohottohandle, who two foals to race have won.
The headline act on the pedigree page is the dual Group One winning sprinter Bawalaksana.
