Black type for Goodwood graduate
06 Dec 2014Serena Miss became Goodwood Stud’s latest black type graduate with her strong showing at Trentham this afternoon.
The Iffraaj filly attacked the line late to finish a close second in the Gr.2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes.
Trained by Graeme and Debbie Rogerson, she had previously won at Te Rapa following a debut second at Wanganui.
Serena Miss was a $65,000 purchase out of Goodwood’s Premier draft at Karaka earlier this year.
She is out of the More Than Ready mare Gifted Lass, also the dam of the winners Pinyin and Rock Express.
Serena Miss hails from the family of Australian stakes winners Travolta and Presently and the Group Three winner Weissmuller.
Goodwood will offer a half-brother by Darci Brahma during the Premier session at Karaka in 2015.
