Jetset Lad completes stud double
12 Jul 2014Goodwood Stud celebrated a trans-Tasman double this afternoon following the return to top form on Jetset Lad.
The Elusive City six-year-old led from barrier rise to post a dominant win in the $A80,000 Tatt’s Mile at Doomben.
His success came on the heels of Sherpa’s maiden juvenile success at Avondale.
Jetset Lad won five races and was Group One placed for trainer John Wheeler before he transferred to Brian Smith’s Eagle Farm stable.
The gelding finished fourth in Listed assignments in his first two outings for Smith before he struck today.
Rider Anthony Allen allowed him to freewheel in front and Jetset Lad kicked strongly in the straight for a comfortable win.
