Iffwedance makes Group impact
30 Mar 2014Goodwood Stud’s promising staying prospect Iffwedance has come through his toughest test to date with flying colours.
The lightly-tried three-year-old stepped up to the big time on Saturday to finish a brave third in the Gr.3 Manawatu Classic.
The chestnut had won on debut and two previous sprint placings preceeded his strong home-track showing.
Trained by Trina Riddell, Iffwedance is a son of Iffraaj who was passed in at the 2012 South Island Sale.
He is a half-brother to the multiple winner Firstwedance (Howbaddouwantit) with their dam the Societ Star mare Merry Dance.
The feature performer in their pedigree is the triple Group One winner Tall Poppy.
