Hot Avondale Start For Filly
22 May 2013

Hot Cha made a dream start at Avondale this afternoon with a debut victory that didn’t surprise Matamata trainer Andrew Scott.

Off the back of a recent trial placing, the three-year-old mastered testing underfoot conditions to score over 1200 metres.

“She’d been working like a winner so it’s a good, encouraging start to her career,” Scott said.

Hot Cha was bred by Goodwood Stud and purchased from their 2011 Select Sale draft by Wexford Stables for $5000.

A daughter of resident sire Chinese Dragon, the filly is out of the Centaine mare Gyspy Rose.

Hot Cha’s third dam is the Gr 1 George Adams Handicap winner Honey Belle and the family of the Gr 1 Epsom Handicap winner Rock Kingdom.
